A well run friendly, family-style motel, in beautiful upstate NY. Felt like a cozy cabin, with all the basic amenities-microwave, larger fridge, A/C, cozy outdoor seating. Would highly recommend!

We had a great night stay . The rooms were clean and very cute .. The shower is tricky but OK. The location is nice and serene . I looked out back early, hoping to see some wildlife, beautiful grounds ..well maintained .

Not much to say besides we were very satisfied. Quiet, clean, convenient location. And extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area. Thanks, guys!

Cute little motel on the highway that has been rehabbed and modernized. The room in which I stayed was a single and had all the amenities a weary traveler needs. A nice double bed, a desk to sit at, shelving for your stuff, a microwave, and mini fridge. Included was a couple bottles of water and stuff for coffee in the morning. Up9n inspection everything looked clean and tidy. It had 3 windows I could open for fresh air. The sunset was gorgeous from this location. I only stayed one night - got here to catch some z's so I could hit the road in the morning. The folks that run the place called and gave me instructions on how to access my room in case we they weren't here when I arrived. Because it's on a main road you can readily hear the traffic, even though it's set back from the road..that doesnt bother me, i find it relaxing. It was very reasonably priced and the transaction online to get the room was super easy. The only reason I gave 4 stars on the room was for the lack of finishing touches on some of the stuff that was refreshed. None of them affected the usefulness of the room, but the esthetics of it was a bit unsightly. Also, the bed was firmer than what I'm used to. Overall, it's a great place. If traveling in the area again, I would stay here and recommend to others

After being caught in an April snow storm, we found this adorable,cozy, reasonably priced motel in Potsdam! The owners, Eric and Stephanie made us feel so welcome right away. The rooms are spotless, roomy, with cozy decor, comfy beds and bedding. The kitchenette was perfect for us, as well. We will be sure to come back for another stay!

Management was really helpful and responsive. Room was warm, welcoming and comfortable. My Northern Family Motel stay was a great value. Thank you.

We were in town for a CU tour and had to bring our dog with us. I found this place on the Google maps and booked Room 7/8. It was very nice. Looks like it was newly remodeled and smelled of nice wood boards! Pros + Cozy and comfortable + Convenient (we arrived almost at 9:50 PM) + Dog friendly + Decent pricing + Not far from town at all (if driving) Cons + None If our student goes to CU, we'll be there a lot more!

Very nicely located right outside of Potsdam NY on Rte 56. Plenty of parking if you have a boat or a large vehicle. Pictures are from when it was remodeled a while ago. My room wasn’t as nice as the pictures but all in all wasn’t bad. Cable went out in the evening and no TV was available after 10pm or so. WiFi was spotty but worked so so. Park right in front of the room. Multiple room options. You’re going to get nice people and not so nice people as neighbors. First night walked out of my room to a guy two doors down smoking the fattest blunt and the place was smelling like dank weed. It’s legal and it was outdoors but people need common courtesy. Other than that, a solid 3/5

Great spot! Such nice folks and lots and lots of room for the kids to run around. Rooms were clean but needed just a little work. It was such a fun and enjoyable experience that it made our stay all that much more pleasant.
