Absolutely delicious food, great owner,wonderful staff with a great atmosphere over looking Black Lack, my new favorite place!

I was recently driving through the area for work and decided I wanted a Steak. So I stopped in and ordered a Ribeye Steak. I ordered it medium-well and it came out way overdone. It ended up being Ash Gray and very chewy almost all the way through, except a few bites. The Carrots that came with the meal were cold, these were not supposed to be cold. I will say that the Fries were decent. I came here on Friday October 24th around 8 PM. Hopefully these issues can be addressed properly. With a 20% tip my bill came to over $42.00 which included a soda. The place is very casual, relaxed, and my waitress provided good service overall. The quality of the food (due to poor cooking) for $42.00 needs to be improved. Hope to try again sometime and improve this score.

Max is one of the best places on Black Lake for food in value. Chris is a great guy.

The owner is really friendly and knows my friends through their repeat business. It's a small restaurant with a bar, and they also offer soup of the day, salad bar, and some great sandwiches! Go o. Friday and enjoy the fish!

Fish fry was great. Service was a bit slow but they needed a second server, so not her fault. Disappointed they were out of mac and cheese and it was only 6pm. Wish we'd known the desserts were homemade, but should have asked. Looked yummy. Nice selection

Great staff and wonderful HOMEMADE FROM SCRATCH food. Prices also GREAT! My husband and I ate a fantastic chicken parm meal and sirloin with potato/veg for $60 including tip. Highly recommend if your in the area stopping by.

Prime rib was excellent. But, considerably overpriced. Potato had been sitting a while. Salad bar was slim and everything was covered like they were closing for the day (6pm). Server was friendly but had to get our own refills because she was the only server. As far as atmospheres, it's a bar/restaurant.

We had a great dinner experience while eating first time here at Mack's. Our waitress was friendly and efficient and our drinks and food were timely and delicious. A pleasant restaurant , that also has a deck for eating out while admiring the Black Lake.

If you like to dine out on an outside deck and have second hand smoke with your meal then dine on the deck at Mack’s. Why smoking is allowed anyplace food is served outside is completely wrong. Mack’s deck is small and has about 5 tables on it. Nice view of Black Lake. There was a person sitting on a chair outside the door to the deck at no table chain smoking. Another couple was sitting at a table about five feet from us puffing away. At times there were others leaning over the railing by the steps smoking. There is no safe amount of exposure to second hand smoke. Our dining experience was not an enjoyable one due to the smell of second hand smoke. We were at Mack’s to celebrate an adult’s birthday. Food was good. However, the appetizers and dinners were delivered to our table at the same time. Server was friendly and professional. Owner was aware of the smoking and allowed it to occur. To avoid the smoke we suggest that you eat inside the restaurant if you want to eat at Mack’s. This was our first visit to Mack’s and it will be our last. We are locals to the area not transients.
