Riverbay Adventure Inn primarily facilitates boat rentals, particularly pontoon boats, and offers a scenic location overlooking the 1000 Islands. Guests consistently praise the friendly staff, helpful service, and reasonable prices, especially for boat rentals and eclipse viewing. However, some reviews highlight issues with basic amenities and reservation difficulties.
I didn't stay in the cabins but rented a kayak on two occasions. All the staff that helped me were very friendly and provided useful information about where to kayak. You'll also get help putting the watercraft in and out of the water. Kayaking the area is great. The 1000 Island's is unique and in my opinion the best spots are on the water!
Best place to rent a pontoon boat. I have been renting from them for years and every year is GREAT. Prices are outstanding and they deliver. I highly recommend them.
We've been renting boats from Riverbay for years and Mike and his team always do a great job making sure everything is in good shape and at a fair price. A good place to do business with.
We enjoyed our day very much! The boats are not fancy but in good operating condition. The owners and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Carl was the best ? for making sure we knew how to operate the pontoon safely and making sure we had enough gas or knew where to buy more if we needed to. We'll be going back for more!
We rented a boat from this company and were so thrilled with the experience. The price was almost half the cost of other places, albeit the location is further out from where we were staying. But the location/the bay is gorgeous, the property they’re located on is super cute and everyone was knowledgeable and friendly. The boat was great. Stayed relatively close for the day. Would definitely use them again.
My experience with Riverbay Adventure covers quite a few years but it has been limited to renting pontoon boats. I have been happy with both the quality of the boats and the the service. Some years for our annual holiday, others in our group have also rented a16'? outboard. Riverbay has so far servesd me very well. Charles
Our stay at the Riverbay Adventure Inn cottage in Thousand Islands, New York, was a mix of frustration and disappointment, despite the incredible location and stunning views of Chippewa Bay. The sunsets were indeed beautiful, but that's about where the positives end. We arrived to find that the cabin lacked even the most basic amenities—no pillows, no towels, nothing that you would expect to be standard, especially when traveling with a 2-year-old toddler. To make matters worse, the propane heater wouldn’t start, leaving us in an uncomfortable situation. Although the staff was helpful enough to fix the TV, it didn't make up for the overall inconvenience and discomfort. This place has so much potential with its amazing location, but the lack of preparation and basic provisions made our stay far less enjoyable than it should have been.
NEW customers beware. I would have loved to actually experience this inn, but for some reason they don't know how to use their online software. EVERYWHERE DOES INTERNET RESERVATIONS AT THIS POINT. My group made online reservations and deposits were taken from our credit card, then 2-3 weeks later our reservations were canceled because they had returning families that wanted those cabins. Then don't make those reservations available online seriously. To make things worse, the customer service was so poor that the woman representing the company said it was our fault for booking online and not calling first. There are so many other options that don't involve so much stress, we decided to go to another property and won't consider this one again.
My family and I watched the total solar eclipse from Riverbay Inn. We loved the cottage we stayed in, and the beauty of the bay that it overlooked. I want to give special thanks to the manager, Mike, for opening in early April, just for the eclipse, and for charging his usual rates, when so many places across the country were hiking their prices. We were well taken care of, too. Highly recommend.
Hands down the best place I have stayed for my fising trips. I kept my boat docked right on the launch in front of the cottages. Woke up everyone morning and was on the water right away. Great service, cozy cottages, friendly neighbors, beautiful scenery. My new yearly fishing vacation spot!!
